The Metaphor of Marriage in Scripture

This volume presents the Proceedings of the International Conference in honour of Fr Luis Alonso Schökel, SJ, which was held at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, commemorating the twentieth anniversary of his death (1998) and sixty years since when he began teaching (1957). In memory of his last published book, “Simbolos matrimoniales en la Biblia”, the event was dedicated to the study of the metaphor of marriage in Scripture, inviting some of the leading experts in this area.
