Nombre de votants aspergent de sermons les non-votants, taxés d'incivisme, d'irresponsabilité, d'immaturité, d'individualisme. Les non-votants manquent à leur devoir de citoyens. Ils galvaudent la souveraineté politique qui leur a été gracieusement offerte par la démocratie. C'est ici qu'on est soudain tenté d'entrer dans le débat. De montrer aux électeurs ce qu'ils font quand ils élisent. D'observer qu'alors ils font tout sauf de la politique.
