En 1942, elle est arrêtée, déportée à Auschwitz puis à Ravensbrück. Témoin de l'horreur nazie au procès de Nuremberg en 1946, elle sera une militante infatigable de la mémoire de la déportation, pacifiste et féministe de combat, élue et dirigeante communiste respectée. Grande figure de la Résistance, elle s'est éteint en décembre 1996, à 84 ans.En fin d'ouvrage, un entretien avec Gérard Streiff.
