De retour dans son pays, Sahra continue de se battre, avec son chant pour seule arme. Son but : mettre en lumière le Somaliland, pays indépendant depuis 1991, mais encore non reconnu par la communauté internationale. Somaliland raconte l'histoire de Sahra Halgan, mais aussi celle d'une terre, d'un peuple et d'un combat qui continue : celui de la reconnaissance.
