En 1978, leur participation conjointe à un concours les a conduit à créer leur propre bureau d'architecture, centré autour de la cause publique. Leur posture singulière a indéniablement contribué à la cohésion et à la force de leur oeuvre, comme en témoigne le contenu de ce livre abondamment illustré par des projets et des réalisations échelonnés durant près de quarante ans (1978-2018), issus du très riche fonds d'archives du bureau.
