Bibliography of French Bibles. Supplement

Forty years after the publication of Bibliography of French Bibles. Fifteenth- and Sixteenth-Century French-Language Editions of the Scriptures, the present supplement serves as an update of the original work. The Supplement maintains the format of the Bibliography – transcription of the title page (sometimes illustrated), bibliographical description, references, locations of copies, brief commentary on the edition, especially on the version of the text it represents – but with almost double the number of copies and locations found in the original work, more than 50 newly discovered editions or issues, more than 20 ghosts, and three new appendices. ***Quarante ans ont passé depuis la publication de Bibliography of French Bibles. Ce Supplement conserve le format du premier ouvrage – transcription de la page de titre (parfois illustrée), description bibliographique, références, localisations et commentaire bref à propos de l’édition, surtout de la version du texte qu’elle représente. Ce Supplement augmente du double le nombre d’exemplaires et de localisations, révèle plus de cinquante nouvelles éditions ou émissions, identifie plus de vingt fantômes et ajoute trois nouveaux index.
