En chemin, le Petit Chaperon rouge parvient à imposer ses choix au loup pris à son propre jeu de chien docile, jusqu'au moment où l'animal ne résiste plus : il saute sur la fillette pour… atterrir au fond d'un grand trou ! Le Petit Chaperon rouge va le tirer de là à l'aide de sa canne et panser sa blessure au cou avec un morceau de son manteau qu'elle transforme en laisse !… Comment le loup ainsi domestiqué pourrait-il avaler une grand-mère et sa petite fille ?!
