Pour certains, cela signifie d’abord que Giovanni Dotoli est un poète traduit (Eric Turcat et Margaret Loy) ; pour d’autres, qu’il reste avant tout un cosmopolite parisien (Pierre Brunel et Bernard Franco) voire un méteikos méditerranéen (Olfa Abrougui).
