A musical tour of the Palace of Versailles! With its sound chips, this collection is unique. On each page, children look for the little button that will activate the music. During their visit, children go back to the time of Louis XIV. Several emblematic rooms of the palace are reproduced and connected to musical extracts that evoke the atmosphere. The day begins in the King's Chamber, with the music "Arabesque', before walking through the splendid Hall of Mirrors while listening to the "March for the Turkish Ceremony' and attending mass in the Royal Chapel, where children can hear "Te Deum'. In the afternoon, they play with the king in the gardens, lulled by Couperin's "Forlane rondeau'. Then, the "Symphonies for the King's Supper' announce an incredible feast, before ending the visit with a firework, with Rameau's "Peaceful Forests'! An official partnership with the Palace of Versailles! This immersive experience is an opportunity for children to discover the instruments that were famous at the court of the Sun King: viola da gamba, harpsichord, and organ; and learning about trumpets, drums, and violins. Séverine Cordier's sweet illustrations accompany this musical and visual journey.
