This book is an attempt to cover the history,language and culture of two most famoussuperpowers of the 20th and 21st centuries andevaluate their impact, glory and tribulations. Like aman's life, it has its ups and downs which canbalance his human value, shared between qualitiesand shortcomings. This is a rather optimistic goal totry and summarize the long Anglo-Saxon historyfrom the Stonehenge era to Donald Trump's ProudBoys' storming of the Capitol; many centuriesindeed. This is in what concerns the people of thesegreat nations. As far as their language is concernedEnglish, it is a great language with a long history(Old, Middle and Modern). It is the language ofShakespeare.
