LE PROPHETISME BIBLIQUE

«  La bouche de Yhwh  »  : tel est le prophète aux temps bibliques. Sa parole est déliée de toute pratique technique et divinatoire. Elle se fonde sur la loi mosaïque, et, comme la loi, elle s'écrit. Stéphanie Anthonioz replace le prophétisme au sein de la divination et évalue ainsi la diversité des professionnels de la prophétie dans l'Orient ancien. C'est en parcourant les sources prophétiques sémitiques anciennes qu'émergent à la fois la construction et l'originalité du prophétisme spécifiquement biblique. Dès lors, il se distingue du phénomène socioreligieux et culturel ancien. Écrite, la prophétie peut être relue et contextualisée, devenant ainsi une parole «  vive  ». -- A prophet in Biblical times was known as ‘The mouth of Yhwh', and his pronouncements were free of any technical or divinatory practice, being based on the Law of Moses, and, like the law itself, written. Stéphanie Anthonioz restores prophesying to its divinatory roots and explores the diversity of professional prophets in the ancient East. Studying the ancient Semitic prophetic sources reveals the construction and originality of specifically Biblical prophesying. In this way, it stands apart from socio-religious and ancient cultural phenomena. And, as they were written down, prophesies could be reread and contextualized, hence becoming a ‘living' word."
