C'est là qu'il fit la connaissance de Nguyen Manh Ha, fondateur de la Jeunesse ouvrière chrétienne au Vietnam, ministre de l'économie du premier gouvernement d'union nationale de Ho Chi Minh en août 1945. Ces lettres, et d'autres documents qui les accompagnent, furent écrites après l'expulsion de Ha du Vietnam.--Alexis Cras, a Dominican brother (1909-1962), spent most of his apostolic life in Vietnam. There, he met Nguyen Manh Ha, founder of the Christian Worker's Youth movement in Vietnam and Minister of the Economy in Ho Chi Minh's first government of national union in August 1945. These letters, and other documents, were written after Nguyen Manh Ha's expulsion from Vietnam.
