ESSAI SUR UNE THÉOLOGIE DE LA MUSIQUE LITURGIQUE

La plupart des ouvrages consacrés à la musique liturgique ou la musique sacrée ont une approche musicologique, souvent technique, et tendent à la situer dans l'histoire de la musique. L'essai ici proposé se veut être une invitation à réfléchir sur la relation entre le chant liturgique et la théologie. Dans quelle mesure et dans quel sens peut-on parler d'une théologie" de la musique liturgique ? Qu'est-ce qui fait qu'une musique est (ou n'est pas vraiment) liturgique ? Cet essai, écrit dans une perspective orthodoxe, s'adresse néanmoins à tous ceux que préoccupe le problème de la manière de chanter la liturgie.--Most books devoted to liturgical music or religious music adopt a musicological approach, often technical. They tend to place this type of creation within the history of music. This essay is an invitation to reflect on the relation between liturgical song and theology. To what extent and in what sense can we speak of a "theology" of liturgical music? What makes music liturgical? What prevents it from being so?
