L'imper mastic trop grand pour lui, le sourire en berne et l'énergie à plat : le moins qu'on puisse dire est que Manuel Montano, avec son scooter fatigué et ses méthodes qui ne le sont pas moins, ne donne pas l'impression d'être un aigle... Et pourtant, au fil de la demi-douzaine d'enquêtes qui composent ce recueil, on se prend d'affection pour cet éternel maladroit si peu efficace et tellement humain. Et si Manuel, finalement, était un peu le reflet de chacun d'entre nous ?
