Jean-Léon Le Prevost est un Normand né en 1803. Proche deFrédéric Ozanam, il participe aux premières Conférences de Saint-Vincent-de-Paulet fonde avec lui l'oeuvre des orphelins. Co-fondateur d'une fraternitémasculine qu'il intègre en 1845, il y est ordonné prêtre en 1860. Son décès en1874 laisse de nombreux ouvriers dans la peine. Sa congrégation existe toujoursaujourd'hui, active selon la spiritualité de saint Vincent de Paul, leursaint patron.
